Mary, Nancy and family.

You can imagine my surprise when I was reading the Globe today and your dad's photo jumped right off the page at me. He looked exactly the way I remembered him.

How many Saturday mornings at precisely 9:30 would he and your mom and sister(s) come rushing through the doors at Filene's Basement looking for bargains? Really brings me back to sit here and "remember the days". I recall your dad as being a pleasant, soft-spoken man who was devoted to his family. While reading the obituary I was sorry to learn that your mom had passed away as well.

Please accept my condolences on your dad's passing and I'd like to thank him for the walk down memory lane, the good ole days down the basement!

Jon and I so enjoyed Franks' smile and enthusiasm. We only knew him through Kate Carney and her theatrical productions, but he was always a joy to chat with, and quite the storyteller himself.

In memory of-
Not long ago, received a series
of envelopes from my Uncle Franny.
My favorite, only since I could walk.
First, came New England Tales(tape).
Next,The Captian of the Scooner SNETIND.(a short story).
Then, The Spindrift Wanderers(one-act play).
A friend involved in Storytelling,
so updated"Franny" so he was aware
that it had taken hold in the sunny state of California.

*If I could fly,
I'd kiss the ground Good-Bye.

Uncle Fran was an amazing person. His quiet strength supported our family, always. We will miss you terribly. Say hi to everyone for us and we will see you again when we get there.
