FRANCIS McDONOUGH Obituary

McDONOUGH, Francis X. 95, of Fort Myers, FL died peacefully in his sleep on October 29, 2012 after a brief illness. He was born on May 13, 1917 in Dorchester, MA, a son of Martin and Elizabeth (Anderson) McDonough. Francis performed on the stage as a singer and dancer under the stage name Michael Morgan. He spent most of his career as a crane operator and oiler with Local 4, even working on the big dig in Boston. He also worked as a taxi driver and cook. His Irish charm, wit, ability to entertain and make people laugh will be missed by his family and all who loved him. Frank and Mary were blessed with twelve children. He is survived by his children, Sandra (Russell) Woodbridge, Rebecca Green, Nadine Anzaldi, Elizabeth (David) Shaw, Melissa (John) Devaney, Sheila McDonough, Jennifer McDonough and Rita McDonough, Sean M. (Sandra L. Murphy) McDonough and Christopher McDonough. He was also blessed with 19 grandchildren and his longtime companion, Ann Farrell. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two wives, Mary (McKenna) McDonough and Mary "Maisy" (Shields) McDonough, two daughters, Marianne McDonough and Siobhan Chrisos, a granddaughter, Galena Green and two brothers, Paul and John McDonough and a sister, Rita Johnson. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 9:00 AM in St. Anthony Church, 43 Holton St, Allston, MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to Hope Hospice, 9470 HealthPark Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33908. Friends may sign the guest book at www.dignifiedcremations.com.
