FRANK PANNIELLO Obituary

PANNIELLO, Frank V. "Piez" Of Everett age 89 passed away at home on Jan. 23. Frank was born on March 15, 1925 to the late Guiseppe and Louise (Morse). He was the fifth of eleven children. In 1943 Frank answered the call of his country and served in WW II European Campaign with the US Army 103rd Infintry in the C Battery, 384th Field Artillery Battalion. Throughout his life he remained a national advocate for Veteran Affairs. He was actively involved with the Italian American War Veterans and Carmen A. Schiavo Club. Frank was the Past Commander for local and state Italian American War Veterans and had the privilege to serve as its National Commander from 1978-79. In 1984 ITAM named him Man of the Year because of his contributions to Veterans. He was a captivating public speaker who inspired others to become civicly engaged. Frank was a devoted family man. He loved music and in his younger years, he would serenade his wife of 64 years Anna, his children and grandchildren. Frank will be remembered for quiet strength, wit, amazing ability to argue his point and his warm heart. Frank is survived by his beloved wife, Anna (DeBenedictis), his loving sons, Joseph J. and Frank V. Jr. and long time companion Terri Tracy, and daughter-in-law, Christine. He is survived by his beloved grandchildren, Jennifer, Joseph, and Michelle and great grandsons, Samuel and Ethan. Loving brother of Rose Visconti, Mena Artolino, Lorraine Panniello, Louise "Baby" White, Anne Conte, Joseph "Butchy" Panniello and Dorothy D'Eon. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Josie Colameta, Charles Panniello and Susie Scanlon. Funeral from the Salvatore Rocco and Sons Funeral Home, 331 Main St., EVERETT, on Thursday, Jan. 29th at 9 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Anthony's Church, Everett, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours are Monday only 4-8 p.m. Complimentary valet parking at Main St entrance on Monday. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project. Entombment Holy Cross Mausoleum, Malden.
