I was fortunate to be a student in "Mr Anthony" class in American History in 1970-71 -- a very interesting time and a great class. We game him a run for his money and made him work very hard -- but he made it look easy. I learned lots which I still apply today. He was one of those teachers who impacted my life and those of many others

George and I were colleagues in the Social Studies department of Sharon High school which he came to lead as department head for many years . He always had the students of Sharon as his highest priority . It was fitting that he would become principal of the school which is yearly rated in the top 10 high schools in Massachusetts.
But even higher then the school was his wife, Joanne and his four cherished daughters and their children . As a retired minister I send my condolences to his entire family . Being presently in Wisconsin I will be unable to attend services , but extend the assurance that George is now with Joanne in the presence of our loving God.
I have great memories of a dear friend and colleague. George was a a wonderful friend to have had in my life and I am sure in the lives of many people.
