GEORGE HATCH Obituary

HATCH, George Francis George passed away on March 16, after a tough battle with cancer. He was a paratrooper in WWII from 1941-1945 and returned home safely. After his Army service, he became a beat cop in Boston, then finally worked at FEMA until his retirement. George was predeceased by his daughter, Tam (Hatch) Bianchini and the fabulous Priscilla (O'Donnell) Hatch. He leaves the surviving family, his brother, Ron Hatch of Canton; daughter Youme (Hatch) Koumoutopolous and her husband, George of Glyfada, Greece; his son, David Hatch-Bernier and his partner, Jonathan Tracy of Somerville; and finally, his true partner in crime and humor, his daughter and BFF, Bethany Hatch of Somerville. He is also leaving the Massachusetts State Lottery, especially the scratch card division, Cadbury chocolates and his "brandy," Hennessey. Full Military Services are at 10:45am, in Bourne, MA on Monday, March 25. Services will be held at Tony C's, in Assembly Row, on Monday, March 25, from 4 to 8. Friends and family are welcome.

I remember George when he first came to compass, he was a fun loving guy he made all the ladies smile. I enjoyed seeing him in the morning and sitting with him and holding a conversation. He was a lovely man who loved talking about his daughter and tell me how smart she was, I will deeply miss him he was like a father to meRIP George you will be deeply missed by me. Love always Antoinette Bailey
