GUANGYING ZHANG Obituary

Zhang, Guangying
Of Waltham, passed away on January 17, 2013. Beloved wife of Yanwu Du. Loving mother of Song "Sophie" Du and her husband Zhidong Zhang. Cherished grandmother of Elisa and Eric Zhang. Also survived by 3 sisters and 1 brother in China. Guangying, a talented musician and music teacher, came to America from China. She was an active member and worshipper of the Lincoln Park Baptist Church in Newton since the beginning of its Chinese worship and also volunteered playing piano at Sunday worship. Guangying volunteered as the music director for senior activities at the Cambridge Center for Chinese Culture and also volunteered as a vocal teacher and activity organizer at the Waltham Senior Housing. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Guangying's funeral service in the Chapel of the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St. (at Natick Common) NATICK on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 11:00 AM to be followed by a funeral procession to North Cemetery in Wayland. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute c/o Dr. Joseph Jacobson, 450 Brookline Ave., Boston, MA 02215 or to the Lincoln Park Baptist Church, 1450 Washington St., Newton, MA 02465.
