HELMUTH, Harold F., Jr. "Harry, Sonny" 73, Cambridge, MA. Passed away December 14th, 2012 after a brave battle with cancer. Harold passed peacefully while at home with his family by his side. Loving husband of more than 54 years to Maryann (Mulcahy) Helmuth. Harold is survived by his 5 children and their spouses: Cheryl and Allan Riley, of Lexington, MA, Carol and Michael McCarthy, of Cambridge, MA, Patty and Tom Summers of Medford, MA, Ann-Marie and Rich Whalen of Lexington, MA, and Mark Helmuth and Sharise Hensen, of Cambridge, MA. Cherished grandfather, Harold is survived by his 10 grandchildren: Brittany and Reid McCarthy, Allan Ross Riley III and Emma Riley, Brandon Henson, Jake and Ali Summers, and Harrison, Hannah, and Hank Whalen. Dear brother of Mrs. June Quinn and the late Raymond Quinn, of Marlborough, MA, Mr. and Mrs. John Alves, of Cambridge, MA, and Mrs. Barbara Fucaloro, FL. As well as a number of other in-laws, nieces and nephews. Harold "Harry" was a retired Lieutenant of the City of Cambridge Fire Department. With more than 32 years of dedicated service. Funeral from the Keefe Funeral Home, 2175 Mass Ave., NORTH CAMBRIDGE on Tuesday at 9 am. Funeral Mass in Saint John's Church, North Cambridge at 10 am. Relatives and friends invited.
