HAROLD "HAL" SCHEIBERT

SCHEIBERT, Harold Hal Of Bedford, 83, died peacefully on July 13, 2013 at Carleton-Willard Village. Harold is survived by his son David Scheibert of Las Cruces, NM; and his daughter Marie Scheibert of Sharon, MA, and his two dear granddaughters Lily Clare and Leah Rose. A memorial service will be held on September 24 at 10:00 AM at the Lutheran Church of the Newtons, 1310 Centre Street, Newton MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Lutheran Church of the Newtons and/or the Audubon Society. Harold received a Masters of Sacred Theology degree from Concordia Seminary, St Louis, Missouri and worked in the pastoral ministry of the Lutheran Church in parishes in Kirkwood, MO; Albany, NY; and Marblehead, MA. In 1973, Harold received a Masters of Education in School Administration degree from Salem State University and from 1969 until 1992 taught 5th Grade at the Hyde School and 3rd Grade at the Bowen School, both in Newton. An avid outdoors man, Harold enjoyed hiking and bicycling and was a member of the Audubon Society and Sierra Club.
