What a true blessing and honor it was to have met your Mom during her visit to California last spring. As a Mom of 2 young daughters, I found her insight on motherhood to be extraordinary. I will forever cherish the conversation we shared while at Ellen’s.
In the midst of your sorrow, may you find comfort in all the wonderful memories you shared with your Mom. What a phenomenal woman!

"Grammy," as my sister and I called her, was my grandmother and she changed my life. She always made sure everyone was as happy as they could be, and no matter what, she always made you feel so special. I have so many memories of us together when I was growing up. Grammy impacted so many lives, and was a mother to everyone who needed support. She was always, and will always be loved by everyone that was graced by any part of her. She was a saviour in this world, and she is an amazing angel in the next. I feel very safe knowing that she is watching over me from above now. I love you Grammy!

I knew Ginny from Medford HS days. She was one of the nicest girls in HS and never changed. A wonderful mother and wife, now, a saint.

The McCarty family was a great favorite at Central School. Your mother was such a cheerful, involved, caring person and so willing to help. We all were amazed because we knew she was rather busy with her wonderful family! My deepest condolences to you all.

Mrs. McCarty (Ginny) really touched many lives very deeply. In my case, it was way beyond what was expected--by taking me into her house and acting to me as a mother. I still wonder how she did all that, but she did and I will always remember the kindness and love she had in her saintly heart.

John & Chris, I want to extend my deepest sympathies to you & your family. I wanted to make it down to the wake and I couldn't.. My heart was with you and you were in my thoughts.. I didn't know your Mom, but from what I hear, she was a wonderful person :) I know exactly what you are going through. I found great comfort thinking of all the good memories that our loved ones left behind (when my Dad passed away) I am so sorry I couldn't make the wake, just know I wanted to be there. What can you say about someone who put 9 good kids out into the world. Like my Mom I doubt she ever complained and reveled in every good thing her children and grandchildren did.

To the McCarty family, please accept my sincere condolences. I will always treasure my childhood memories on Pin Oak Dr. with "Mrs. McCarty" welcoming me into her home and offering to stay for supper, (as she didn't have enough kids to feed)!! We know now , GOD has another beautiful Angel watching over us.

I've been very lucky to grow up with two families, and the McCarty's are that second family. Ginny alaways thought of me as part of the family and I will cherish every word of wisdom she ever gave me. I will take with me her warmth and her smile, her laugh and her love. Ginny was a good friend and neighbor, and a very special person. Between the two of us, we were mothers to 16 children. Needless to say, there was always a crisis in one or both of our families. Ginny always seemed to handle anything that life threw at her with wisdom, humor and good grace, which was a marvel to me. She will be sorely missed here on earth, but welcomed with open arms in heaven.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Bernie and all of the children at this time of both sorrow and rejoicing.

A Salute to all the McCarty family in loving memory of Ginny McCarty.
Dandy, Jenna, and Mikaela Richardson are saddened at the news of the passing of such a great woman and mother, Ginny McCarty.
For several years now Andy, Allison, and their children, Ellen, and Kevin have been close to our hearts. Knowing the McCarty’s has touched our lives and with respect we know that the wonderful character of these individuals stems from such wonderful parents. We met Ginny only once but the impression she made was ever lasting. Dandy toasts to Ginny and says, "We will meet again and have one more dance." Bless you all and may your sadness in time be replaced by your happier memories of the past.

So many have been loved, touched, moved, and given hope by a wonderful gift that was shared with us all...Ginny. She truely gave a sense of "HOME". Safe, loved, treasured. It was the open arms, the shoulder to lean on, the gentle tone in her voice...she has touched so many peoples lives, and I am so fortunate that she touched mine. I will miss you Ginny. You will always be in my heart, and my "home".

Back in the 1960's, I learned how to enjoy a cup of hot tea thanks to Mrs. McCarty. Many afternoons at 4:00 Mrs. McCarty, Maureen (still one of my best friends)and I would sit at the dining room table. We would sip our cups of tea and just chat. Great memories. My condolences to Mrs. McCarty's family.

Ginny will always be Ma Carty to the Fillmore kids, even though none of us are even kids anymore. We are blessed to have had her be a part of our lives and have wonderful memories of those times. Our love and prayers to Bernie and the kids, who are also not kids anymore.

My parents knew the Niland family in our early years living in Medford, and I was in Jr. High (Hobbs) and Medford High with Beverly, as well. Although I did not know the McCarty family, I send condolences from myself as well as the remaining members of my family.
