HERBERT A. LERNER

LERNER, Herbert A. Of Lincoln, formerly of Lexington, on Friday, December 14, 2018 at age 91. For 63 years the beloved husband of Rose (Fishman). Devoted father of Gary & his wife Leslie, Steven & his wife Marcia, and the late Nelson & his surviving wife Laurie. Loving grandfather of Marissa, Alexander, and Lana. Dear brother of Phyllis Taplitz and Geri Amster. Adored by extended family from coast to coast.

Born in Boston and a graduate of Boston Latin. A member of the "Greatest Generation", Herbert served in the U.S. Navy during WWII as an Electronic Technician. Herbert graduated Northeastern University with an Electrical Engineering degree and earned a Master's in Business Administration from Harvard Business School.

Herbert was a Business Manager for Raytheon, retired after 35 years, and served on the Board of Directors and as the Treasurer for Technical Communications Corporation. Herbert was devoted to his wife of more than 63 years and to his family, friends and community.

Services at Temple Isaiah, 55 Lincoln Street, Lexington, MA on Wednesday, December 19 at 10:00am. Burial to follow at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon.

Memorial observance on Wednesday from 6:30-8:30pm at the Commons in Lincoln, 1 Harvest Circle, Lincoln, MA, and on Thursday, December 20, from 7:00-9:00pm at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Harris. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Ave., Boston, MA 02215 or a charity of your choice. Levine Chapels, Brookline
