Dear Holly and Herb,
In the CPS and CCRSD systems, Your father and I had comparable positions, I being coordinator of art. He had a thorough knowledge of music and was dedicated to the success of music in the schools. He liked fun, was a great storyteller, and was a good listener. After retirement, we met a few times, once, notably, at his 70th birthday party. I last saw your dad at your mother's wake. Having known your father adds to the good memories that I have of my work. He was very proud of all of you. I know that you will miss him. I send you my sympathy for the loss of your father as well as that of your mother and brother.
Sincerely, John Langan, Concord, MA

I can't believe both Herb and Sandra are gone. They were so special. I am going to miss the good times at the lake. They were so good to me and so much fun. My thoughts and prayers to those they loved.

I was sorry to read of Herb's passing. He and I went to the same school from Junior High on. We were classmates in the Lincoln Junior High School in Medford, Medford High School and Boston University College of Music-graduating from there in 1955. He was a fine musician. May he rest in peace.

Herb,Holly and family,
Herb Sr. And I clicked from the beginning. Maybe it was our stubborn streak, love of conversation and some of it that we knew alot of the same people or just plain "we got each other" I could read him like book as well as he could me. Herb loved speaking of his beautiful grandchildren and family. He was a well spoken gentleman that had a lot of class. I remember the luncheon he went on with one of his friends and was picked up by a limo. I think he purposely took his time getting in that car. The smile on his face was priceless. Speaking of music was his other enjoyment along with opera. Well Herb your job is done here on this earth but you are now with Sandra, Glen and others who have passed . We will again meet someday. Herb and Holly I certainly will miss both of you as well. You were so good to your dad . God Bless you all
Fondly
