My heart goes out to each of you at this time. I'll never forget my first years teaching at Harriman School and all that he did to both support and inspire me. Jim always lit up my classroom when entered. He'd roll up his sleeves and actively involve himself in whatever we were doing. Not only was he a great mentor, but he was a wonderful person

Val, Debbie, Patty, and Jimmy,
I am so very sorry for your loss. Jim and I started in Hudson at the same time and through him I saw what a principal should be. When he entered my classroom every child wanted to go to Mr. Boyd to show him what they were working on or to read to him. Jim always had time for each child even if he'd be late for his next appointment. To Jim, that child was more important than any next appointment. Please know that all of you are in my thoughts and prayers.
