I am pleased to say that I worked alongside Dr. High for many years while he that the Director of the ER at Nashua Memorial Hospital. As one of the first few paramedics in Nashua, Dr. High signed my paramedic protocols allowing me to practice. Without his vision of what paramedics could do and how it would help improve care we would not have the great EMS system that we have today. I am thankful to have known him and learned from him. May he rest in peace and his family be comforted by all of the souls he has helped.

Jim was a beloved colleague at Harvard University Health Services. He possessed the most wonderful, fatherly bedside manner, and he had an inspiring mastery of the art and science of medicine. He was a true humanist whose family was clearly at the center of his life.

It was also great fun to chat about golf and running with him.

Please accept my condolences on his passing.

To the family of Dr. High,
I had the privilege of working with Dr. High at Harvard University in Urgent Care for many years. He was an extraordinary physician, mentor, colleague, friend... just an extraordinary human being. He taught me so much... about medicine, about people, about life. He spoke with so much pride and love about his family, and he always asked about mine. I am so sad that he is gone, but at the same time feel so lucky to have known him. My thoughts are with you at this sad time.

I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Dr. High. I had the great pleasure of working with him at UHS for several years. It warmed my heart at how fondly he spoke of his wife and family. He reminded me of my own father, that passed several years ago. May our memories of him, make us smile.

I am shocked and saddened to learn of the passing of my good friend Jimmy High. We go back many years, in fact, we were in grammar school together and that is almost 80 years. We both went to St Joseph's High School and also the Univ. of N.H. In our younger days, Jimmy always knew he wanted to be a doctor, even before College. We had our neighborhood gang, playing all kind of sports. Jimmy was a mean passer and was always our quarterback. We both worked in "drug stores" and spent our time in the service. After college we drifted apart but always kept track of one another.Fortunately last Sept. my wife, Suzanne and I were able to spend a day with Lois and Jim where we talked about our many past memories. He always had a great sense of humor and adventure. I know he was a great doctor as well as a dear friend to us both. I'll miss him. Our condolences to Lois and the rest of his family. God bless you all. Suzanne and John Duggan

Dear Great Aunt Lois & Family,
Sorry to learn of Uncle Jimmy's passing, may his memories keep that warm feeling in your hearts and a smile on your face.
He was a good man and lived a full life with a beautiful family by his side.
May each breeze of a warm summers day, Smell of flowers in the Spring, beauty of snow glistening on a winters night, and the the cool Autumn air & changing of leaves bring back all those beautiful memories for which you you can remember him with love.
May his spirit let you know he is close by watching over his family with loving hands, bring you peace in knowing he is safe in Gods hands.
