Dinners @ Amrheins, the Stockyard, and Floramos with Phiip and Jack, Halloween @ Bob and David's, 9:00am daily phone calls,

Ketel 1 martinis, Easter and Thanksgiving dinners @ Pier 4 with Judy and Joe, his love for Star; my cat, Daphne, purring into the phone to him and Jim saying "Oh, Daphne, what a lovely purr", introducing him to Julia Child on his birthday several years ago...the first of many times he met Julia, every phone conversation ending with "I love you" which is the way our last conversation ended on Tuesday.

I will very much miss my beloved friend but I like to think he and Julia have just met again and are comparing recipes.
