Jeffrey Joseph DELANEY

DELANEY, Jeffrey Joseph Departed this earthly life on the afternoon of Monday, December 26th, 2022, surrounded by loved ones. A cherished father, brother, uncle, friend, and colleague, Jeff devoted his life to the service of others and touched the lives of all those around him. He is survived by his two children whom he cherished dearly, Charles Jeffrey Delaney and Angela Clare Delaney and her fiancé, Dominic Rioles; the mother of his children, Arlene Delaney; his siblings and their respective partners, Noella & Bruce Shaffer, Edmund Delaney, Elise & John McHugh, Laura Delaney & Mercedes Crook, Daniel & Mara Delaney, and John Delaney; and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by those with whom he shared a unique and unbreakable bond, Christine Houston, Myles Dowling and his two sons, Luke and Myles; and his lifelong best friends, Russell Smith and Dave Van Osdol. Jeff was preceded in death by his two loving parents, John and Barbara; his brother, Christopher; nephew, William Houston; and many aunts; uncles; cousins; and friends.

Visiting Hours will be held at O'Brien Funeral Home, 146 Dorchester Street, SOUTH BOSTON, on Sunday, January 1, from 4 - 8pm, with a Funeral Mass on Monday, January 2, at 10 AM, at Gate of Heaven Church, 615 East Fourth Street, South Boston.
