I will miss our chats on genealogy and antiquarian books. Thank you for all you taught me at your time at NEHGS. You will not be forgotten.

Jerry, my friend, you will be sorely missed. I am happy to hear you were not alone and I send my condolences to all of your family.
Jerry was a low key, cerebral man with a dry wit that would always give me a smile. Our encounters were few after my job ended at NEHGS, but on some research forays to Boston, sometimes Jerry would appear and my day became brighter.
Rest in peace, my friend.

Thank you for all your New England research. I´ve read most of your articles in TAG and NEHGR. Such wonderful contributions.

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always. We worked on researching my family for many years and it was lots of fun to do it every time -- I have lots of notes that you wrote for me and will never forget it. They will exist for many years. Thank you, Jerry

Jerry Anderson was my introduction to genealogy when in the 1990s I began research to find my English immigrant ancestor Robert Bedell (1624-1703) in the collections of the NE Historic Genealogical Society in Boston. Jerry was great fun, always helpful, full of knowledge, and taught me how to use the wills and deeds and court records that fleshed out my little part of Essex in England. In short, Jerry was a whole history course that the speedy computer cannot replace. Bless you, Jerry! Margo Miller, 191 Commonwealth Avenue, Boston 02116.
