JOAN M. KANE

1930 - 2018

KANE, Joan M. Of Hull, MA, formerly of Easton, PA, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, December 26, 2018. Born in Harrisburg, PA on April 3, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Bryan and Marie McDermott Kane. She is survived by her niece, Susan Hechler, with whom she lived and her sister, Gertrude Stoneback of Cinnaminson, NJ, and many nieces and nephews. Joan was predeceased by her siblings, James Kane, Mary Kane Rossley, Margaret Phelan and Helen Nausbaum.

Prior to moving to Hull in 2007, Joan was employed by Betts Hospital and then Metropolitan Life Insurance for many years. After retirement, she was a volunteer at the St. Jane Frances de Chantal elementary school in Wilson Borough.

Joan was an avid reader, enjoyed playing bridge, going out to the movies and getting together with friends. Joan, having no children of her own, was like a mother and mentor to many in her family. She had a wonderful sense of style and a terrific sense of humor and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
