PETERS , Joan (Vogel) Age 67, a longtime resident of Needham, Massachusetts, passed away in her home on March 25, 2024, after a long illness. She was the daughter of Edward and Stella Vogel. She was born in Boston, Massachusetts on December 4, 1956. She attended St. Bartholomew School and Needham High School. Joan was predeceased by her husbands, Christopher Peters and Malcolm Muir; her parents; her siblings, Thomas Vogel, Donald Vogel; and her nephew, Matthew Christian. Joan is survived by her siblings: Robert Vogel of West Boylston, MA, Dorothy O'Neil and her husband, Kevin, of Franconia, NH, Allie Christian of Myrtle Beach, SC, Kenneth Vogel and his wife, Wendy of East Falmouth, MA; sister-in-law, Nancy Vogel of Mansfield, MA; Paul Vogel of Wareham, MA and Mary Hunter and her husband, Darcy of West Falmouth, MA. She is also survived by ten nieces and nephews; and 11 grandnieces and nephews. A Visitation will be held at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 1305 Highland Ave., NEEDHAM, on Tuesday, April 9, from 9:30-10:30am, followed by a Funeral Mass, at St. Bartholomew Church, Needham, at 11am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment, Woodlawn Cemetery, Wellesley.
