Joanne SHALNA Obituary

SHALNA, Joanne H. (Neviera) Age 86, of South Weymouth, passed away on Monday, February 19, after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony "Tony" J. Shalna; mother of the late Christopher J. Shalna; and sister of the late Albina Alekna and Paul Neviera. Joanne is survived by her loving son, Gregory M. Shalna and his wife, Leah of Florida; grandchildren, Andrew (Brittany), Amanda (Dan), Nicholas (Katie), Ashley and Matthew; great-grandchildren, Christopher, Victoria, Noah, Micah, Ezekiel and Jane; sister, Ruth Nauyokas; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will start at 10:00 a.m., on Wednesday, March 20, at St. Peter Lithuanian Parish, 75 Flaherty Way, South Boston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Donations in Joanne's memory may be made to St. Peter Lithuanian Parish, Special Projects Fund, P.O. Box 270799, South Boston, Massachusetts 02127.

We were so saddened to hear of Joanne“s passing. She was a wonderful member of our INNER CIRCLE CLUB of women who got together for lunch and dinner. She always was so friendly and lots of fun. She will be missed. Chris McCarthy.
