Cousins Patty and Richie Voto
April 20, 2006
Dear Lucille, Aunt Doris, Cousins Philip and Virginia, children Rose, Scott and David, grandchildren
as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Patty and I would like to convey our most heartfelt condolences on the passing of Cousin John.
Don’t think of John as gone away –
his journey’s just begun;
life holds so many facets –
this earth is only one.
Just think of John as resting
from the sorrows and the tears
in a place of warmth and comfort
where there are no days and years.
Think how John must be wishing
that we could know, today,
how nothing but our sadness
can really pass away.
And think of John as living
in the hearts of those he touched…
for nothing loved is ever lost –
and he was loved so much.
May God Bless and give you strength in the days ahead!

I am writing to express my sympathy to the family of Papa John Arrigo and to share a memory of him that I will never forget.
Although I never got the chance to say thank you to him, John made a profound difference in my life and that of my family.
When my daughter was born prematurely, I was completely beside myself and John came to visit us in the NICU...I remember distinctly his strength, and as he made the sign of the cross on her forehead telling me not to worry, that she would be just fine. I wanted desperately to believe him and as time went on through the ordeal his kind words echoed in my mind. In the long run John was right...that my daughter would be fine.
But the big picture is that's how John always was. He entrusted the hand of God and his strength encouraged all of us in some way or another.
So as I say my final goodbyes to John I want to give my thanks to him too...for being both fun-loving yet strong when need be...thank you for laughing over spilling everything, but thank you, thank you, thank you for being there when I needed you most. You are unforgetable.
Love always,
Amy Blaine
