Mr. Cahill was a quite a man. I'll always remember visiting him at their old home on Elliott Street in Milton when Shaun and Lisa first married. He was amused by my fascination with the T that ran through the backyard. I loved his Irish brogue. But most of all, the strength of character that he possessed. I probably only met him a dozen times in my life, but it was enough to sense that he had integrity to his core. We know he passed directly into the gates of heaven, for if he didn't, what hope would any of us have? Just like he said, he is with Noreen now. God bless you all.

I never met Mr. Cahill but greatly enjoyed hearing Donal tell stories about his father especially of how he was a huge soccer fan. I remember Donal calling his father for me to get an update on a France/Romania match. I regret never having had the opportunity to watch a Champion's League game with Mr. Cahill.
My thoughts are with Donal & the Cahill family.
Sincerely,
Christophe Kusel

Dear Mrs. Cahill, Jim, Shaun, Mary, Donal, Jerry, Peggie, Kathleen and Patrick,
I am so sad to hear of the passing of your beloved husband/father. To lose the head of your family is never easy even when you’ve shared in their love and nurture for many years. I know each of you know how lucky you are to have such an awesome family. We have been blessed with parents who have made our lives rich in love and security. Your dad always welcomed me into your home and family and I have wonderful memories as a young girl visiting you on Holiday Street and him always having a smile and warm word for me. I recently read a quote that I believe truly describes how your dad lived his life: "The most important thing a father can do for his children is to love their mother." The author is unknown, but I hope the wisdom and the truth of these words are of comfort to you. Your dad gave you a beautiful life, which in turn you have bestowed on your children, and best of all continues the legacy of the Cahill family. You have been blessed with his life and he loved his family and was so proud of everyone in it. God bless you all; you are in my prayers,
Love, Pauline

We always enjoyed our time with Jack - limited though it was. Talk about old school. You never had to wonder what Jack thought of something. How refreshing in today's "politically correct" climate. Thanks to the Cahills for sharing him with us.
