JOHN CURRIE Obituary

CURRIE, John "Jack" and Judith "Judy" Of Needham, married 62 years, joined each other in death this summer. Judy died on June 29, of a long illness, and Jack suddenly, on August 21, 2023. They are survived by his sister, Jane and her husband, Fred Fletcher; and her sister, Linda Chesner; three children, Nancy Currie of Brookfield, MA, Tom Currie and his wife, Elisa of Natick and Jim Currie of Dalton; as well as grandchildren, Will and Grace Cook; Rose Currie; and Bella and Alex Currie. They also leave generations of nieces and nephews. Jack was an alum of MIT, where he worked until his retirement as Director of Finance. Judy was an educator, musician and choir director in the Baptist and Methodist Churches in Needham. Both were active in multiple volunteer and service roles at the churches, Needham Community Council, BSA and Old Sturbridge Village. A joint Service will be held on Saturday, September 16, 11 AM, at Carter Memorial United Methodist Church, 800 Highland St., Needham.
