JOHN DONOVAN Obituary

DONOVAN, John Robert John, of Milton and Naples, Florida, was born July 21, 1981 and passed away in Naples, November 26, 2024, after courageously battling a serious illness for one and a half years. He had previously lived in Simsbury, CT and Mattapoisett, MA. He is survived by his loving parents, Robert and Theresa Donovan of Naples and Milton; and his brother, Matthew and sister-in-law, Leigh Anne of NYC; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was the cherished grandson of John J. and Lola Donovan of Milton and Cecile McCartan of Manchester, CT. John was a graduate of Catholic Memorial High School, where he participated in golf and track and Fairfield University. He was employed in the cell phone tower and financial industries. He was extremely well-read in American and world geo-political and financial matters and loved following the Florida Panthers hockey team and Formula 1 auto racing. John will be truly missed. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in his name to the Donovan Family Endowed Scholarship, at the Francis Ouimet Scholarship Fund, 300 Arnold Palmer Blvd., Norton, MA 02766 or www.Ouimet.org A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
