John Jerome. What else could anyway say other than one of the finest gentlemen I had the good fortune to know and call a friend. The world has lost another great one. Rest in peace my friend.

Remy grew up in my neighborhood. His brother Michael was my bros close friend. When I started teaching John was the Title One Director. He walked into the school one day and said "HI Maisie" my nickname, and I said "Hi Remy"! Then we both said "Don't call me that!" So from then on we were Mary and John! Wonderful man who I had the privilege of working for and with for many years. We also bought many a family car in Randolph! He will be missed terribly. My condolences to Sharyn, Michael and the whole family!

John Jerome was a kind, decent and honest man. One of the finest people I have known. They broke the mold when he was made. My love and prayers go to his family and all who knew and loved him.

I am so sorry to hear of John's passing. I had the pleasure of being his intern. He had that we can attitude and was willing to try anything if it helped our kids. He was a terrific mentor and even years later he would call and check up on me to see how I was doing. I will miss him.

My thoughts and prayers are with Sharyn and the family. I had the honor of working directly for John from 2010 until his retirement in 2014. Before that, I knew the kind of leader he was. He always put the best interests of the students first. During my time with him, he was always willing to provide advice or just listen and hear me out. I am so privileged that I had the opportunity to learn from such a strong and caring person. John was a true gentleman and will always be a Brockton Boxer.

John was a dear colleague and friend from his first job at the Goddard School where we both taught, and through his wonderful career serving the students of Brockton. It was also my joy to be a teacher for his daughters. He was as wonderful a husband and father as as an educator.

Sharyn,
Sorry for your loss. I was a Brockton High School student from 2005 to 2011. I was proudly educated in the Brockton Public Schools where the best special education teachers and therapists were. I recieved Special Education Services from age 3 to the age I was in December 2011 through the Brockton Public Schools due to my high-functioning autism.

So very sorry to hear of John's passing. I first taught with Mary and then had the pleasure of meeting her wonderful son, John. He was the BEST. It was always fun to see him come into my classroom or out and about in some other venue in the school system. So loved his subtle sense of humor. He was one of a kind. My condolences.
