Karahalis, John A. Of Peabody, March 11, 2014, age 94, Ret. Teacher Salem High, and veteran of WWII U.S. Navy. Beloved husband of Penelope (Macrinotis) Karahalis of Peabody; dear father of Alan J. Karahalis of Peabody, Andrew J. Karahalis of Providence, RI, and Paula Karahalis of Gloucester; brother of Michael Karahalis of St. Petersburg, FL, he leaves several close cousins, nieces and nephews among a special cousin, James Argeros of Lynnfield and nephew, Kenneth Athas of Beverly. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 9 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., PEABODY, followed by a Funeral Service at 10 AM in St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church, Peabody. A visitation will be held on Friday from 4–8 P.M. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
