Dearest Josie:
What a terrible piece of news. Jackie was a delightful youngster and a very fine man. While it has been a long time since I've seen him - and you - I've often thought of how much fun we had on Rutherford Ave. Working next door was all the more pleasant due to the fine extended family who were our neighbors. Jackie is in my thoughts and always will be.

All is Well
Death is nothing at all. I have only slipped away into the next room. I am I, and you are you. Whatever we were to each other, that we still are. Call me by my old familiar name, speak to me in the easy way which you always used. Put no difference in your tone, wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow. Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together. Pray, smile, think of me, pray for me. Let my name be ever the household word that it always was, let it be spoken without effect without the trace of a shadow on it. Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it ever was; there is unbroken continuity. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? I am waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just round the corner.
All is well.

Dearest Aunt Josie,
To me, Jackie will always be a handsome young man in his prime, standing tall in his navy uniform, looking like a recruiting poster.
To me, Jackie will always be a funster, enthralling us, his younger cousins, with his genuine interest and playful teasing.
To me, Jackie will always be a loving son and brother, so glad to be a part of his large and boisterous family.
To me, Jackie will always be a hero, in ways large and small, his decency and compassion and interest in his family and friends so evident.
To me, Jackie will always be a bright light. I will watch for that light in the sky tonight.
With great love and memories,
Your niece Sharyn

Dear Mrs. Masucci
I had the privilege of working with Jack at USAir. He always had a smile and a joke to tell just about every night. No matter what the workload was for the night, working with Jack you knew that it was going to be a fun night. He was an all around “Good Guy”, and he will truly be missed by all who knew him.

Dear Josie,
I was so very sorry to hear about Jackie. Whenever I was privileged to visit you, I was always so very pleased if Jackie would pop in for a bit to gently tease us or relate a humorous story.
Knowing that Jackie is now with God gives me one more reason to look forward to heaven.
Love,
Bonnie
