JOHN RICHARDS Obituary

RICHARDS, John "Tommy" John "Tommy" Richards, of Holbrook, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2017. Born and raised in County Sligo, Ireland, John came to the US at the age of 19. He was a union carpenter for Local 67. John was a faithful parishioner of St. Joseph's Church, Holbrook and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed the outdoors, traveling, and most of all, loved spending time with his grandchildren. Beloved husband for 56 years of Yvette (Hamel) Richards. Loving father of Marie Breen and her husband Paul of Holbrook, John Richards and his wife Rhonda of Sharon, Pauline De Simone and her husband Paul of Holbrook, and Thomas Richards and his wife Jodi of Easton. Devoted brother of Evelyn Boland of Ireland, and the late Paddy Joe Richards and Maureen Conway. Dear grandfather of Corinne, Gabriella, Charlotte, Giovanni, Silvie, and Leo. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held at the Hurley Funeral Home, 127 So. Franklin St. (Rt. 37), Holbrook on Saturday, December 2nd from 10-11:30am followed by a funeral mass at St. Joseph's Church in Holbrook at 12pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Randolph. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's memory to St. Joseph School, 143 So.
