LICAUSI, Joseph Of Medford, formerly of Boston's North End, May 16. He was 101. Born in Marsala, Sicily, January 1, 1924, he was the son of the late Antonio and Maria LiCausi. Beloved husband of the late Rose (Giacalone) LiCausi. Devoted father of Anthony and Karen LiCausi of Melrose, Angelo LiCausi of West Yarmouth and Maria LiCausi and Sheila Brooks of Maynard. Adoring grandfather of Jenna Lahiff and her husband, Michael of Melrose and of Dr. Joseph LiCausi of Worcester. Loving great-grandfather of Jack, Noah and Shea Lahiff. Dear brother to Rosa Fumuso, the late Antoinetta Cocco, Lorenzo and Vito LiCausi, all of Marsala, Sicily. Dear brother-in-law of Michela and the late Marco of Methuen, the late Joseph of Bedford, Frank and Rose of East Boston, Vito and Geraldine of Boston, Catherine and Jerry Riccio of Holbrook, Lena and Vincent Ristagno of Dorchester, Connie and Edward Deveau, Marina Smith, John, David, Paul and James Giacalone. Dear friend of Veronica LoConte of Medford. Affectionately known as Papa to many. Joe was a commercial fisherman out of Boston for 45 years. Joe was the embodiment of hard work, dedication and love. He was a member of the Forever Young Club and was a devoted fan of the Boston Red Sox. Funeral from Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD, Friday, May 23, at 9 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting Hours on Thursday, 4-8 PM. Services will conclude with Burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
