My sister MaryJane Skatoff MacKay in Canada, my brother Len Skatoff in Virginia and I were saddened to hear of Joe's death. He was for over 40 years the devoted colleague and friend of our late mother, Mary Skatoff. As her children, we came to view him almost as a brother, and his joy in sharing was unbounded.

Our warmest regards to all his family.

My sincere sympathy to you all. I was fortunate to have worked in Joe's office for two years after my graduation from law school. He taught me a lot about the practice of law, but more importantly, he taught me how to treat people with kindness and respect.
He was a good and true friend and he will be missed.

I had the pleasure of working with Joe in his office at Webster St. and also worked with him at Rockland Federal Credit Union. He was always very kind and thoughtful to me as he was to his clients. I will always remember him as a hard working, respectful and a caring man.

Was saddened to hear of Joe's passing. He was a great help after the death of my husband with all aspects of settling the estate. He was also a pleasure to work with in my professional career in the Rockland Fed. Credit Union Mtg Serv Dept many years ago. He'll be greatly missed. My condolensces to his family.

"Joe" was one of the nicest people I have ever met. I worked at the Rockland Federal Credit Union for many years and he was one of our attorneys. In my view, he was the very best. He cared about people and helped many folks pro bono. Since we both retired I have not been in touch, but was greatly saddened today to see that he has passed on. God Bless him.

I loved Joe. After I no longer worked for him, we remained dear friends. My son Andy worked in Joe's law office upon graduating from law school. I am stunned and saddened by the death of such a special person in our lives.
