In the last year or so both Joyce and Zach, my parents have passed, they loved him. I have the fondest memories from my childhood on eating at the restaurant with my family and Joe always coming out to say hi and with a hug and sometimes he would sit down and join us. A fantastic family as well. May his memory be a blessing.

I was saddened to hear of Mr. Tecce's passing this morning. Although I didn't know him personally, I got to know Sal and Mary Ann and their daughter through renting their home on Nantucket. I have eaten at Tecce's Ristorante and can only imagine its storied history as I look at all the portraits of Boston's personalities past and present. I send his family my sympathies. The North End will remember this fine man through his legacy and the family who continues his contributions to the community.
