Josh left a long list of people he touched. I still talk about and think of him often. We were close friends for many years and we never lost our connection, even when we lived 3000 miles apart. We saw each other through some difficult times as well as the death of a mutual friend. I can still hear what his response would be to something I´ve said. I carry him with me wherever I go and will never forget who he was and what an incredible friend he was to me.

My sincere condolences,
Debbie Finfer
P.s. This is a picture of my dog, Josh.

Josh,
You were always looking out for me while I was growing up. You, Lenny, George and all the rest of my brothers good friends showed me that a person could be smart and compassionate while at the same time enjoy a life filled with laughter. I miss you most of all now, now that you're gone of course. I'm sure we'll meet again. I'll keep an eye out for you on the next go around. My heart goes out to your family and all those who knew and loved you. Count me in as one.

To Josh's family:

Please know that I am very sad to learn of Josh's passing and to imagine the grief you must be experiencing. I will miss him very much and hope that I can keep a piece of him in my soul as long as I live. He touched many in his short time here on this earth. It was a gift to know him.

My deepest sympathy to Josh's family and friends.

Although I didn't work directly with Josh, and therefore didn't get to know him as well as others at JVS, I know that he was loved and admired by his colleages.

Listening to them as they process the shock and greif surrounding his death, I feel somewhat cheated for not having the opportunity to know him better, because those that did know him well, admired his quick wit and dry sense of humor, the connections they had with him about music and other topcis, but mostly how genuine he was -- a character trait I find refreshing as well as highly admirable.

To Josh's family and friends, I wish you strength during these difficult days along with the comfort of Josh's memory. This comes with the hope that each new tomorrow will continue to heal your hearts.

Josh, I will love and miss you forever.
I've known you since the day I was born and since then, you've helped me become who I am today. I hope you're somewhere nice, watching over us and smiling. To his family -- I'm so sorry for your loss.

I am shocked and saddened to learn of Josh's sudden passing. My husband and I lived upstairs from him and he was always wonderful and warm and a delight. He stood out as the only person in the building who we really knew and made the effort to reach out to us. He would visit us frequently to chat and he will be greatly missed by both of us. My condolences to his family during this difficult time.

Lorna and I send our deepest love and condolences to our close friends, Helene and Norm and the entire Seifert family. This loss of Josh is a shock and leaves many holes in many hearts. At times like this words fail all of us to adequately express our feelings of sorrow. The outpouring of love and sentiments that these notes in the guest book express show the kind of person that Josh was and the important impact he had on many people with whom he had contact in his short life.

Norm, Helene, Erica, Conor & Molly - am devastated for you and so sorry I couldn't be there with you during this awful time. Naomi shared some of what transpired and I'm glad there were so many there in support of you and to remember and honor Josh. It must be comforting to know he was so loved and respected by so many. I'll call after the shiva.
I send you love and blessings as you go through these next days and months, Janet K.

Josh,

I wish I could have reached out to you more often in recent years, as so often is the case when distance and time seperates family and friends. The time we shared many years ago in Santa Cruz, (and later when Kathy and I moved to Oakland) have come flooding back with special importance and sadness in the last few days since you left us. The connection we had together will not be forgotten.

To Josh's family,

I hope you find some comfort in knowing that Josh solidified his presence in a postive way with many people out here in the west coast. His openess, intelligence, humor and love was always on display, and will not soon be forgotten.

Best wishes; love & prayers in this difficult time.

Chris, Kathy and sons Kaden & Jake Geremia.

My memories of Josh are mostly from our wonderful Seifert/Seifert family vacations together, all those years ago, on Long Lake in Maine. Helene and Norman, Erica, Conor and Molly: Our thoughts are with you today.

My deepest condolences to the Seifert family. Josh (shoe) was a very dear friend, he will be missed by many that he touched in the Santa Cruz area like me. He was an endless source of compassion and understanding that is little seen or experienced today. A true friend that would always make time for you, I will miss him immensely.

Mere words are inadequate to express our deepest sympathy to our loving cousins and friends, Helene and Norm, and Erica, Conor and Molly.
We knew Josh from boyhood to manhood, and we're saddened that he is gone much too soon.
