To the Teeter family:
I was saddened to hear of Karl's passing. I was a student of his in the 1970s, took his field methods class, and spent a happy summer working on Wiyot materials for him-- working through shoeboxes of slips from his field work, in preparation for his Wiyot dictionary. I appreciated his kindness and encouragement, and some good conversation, in his pleasantly cluttered office in Widener. My sympathy and best wishes to you all.

Katherine, Alot of the time we hear of parents being proud of their children. What a blessing to have had a parent to be proud of. Your father has done some amazing work. I received the message of education being important while reading about him. I pray that your family has love and acceptance.
