Katherine DiRusso Obituary

Of Newton Highlands, died Friday November 16, 2007 at her daughter's home in South Yarmouth, just a few days short of her 90th birthday. She was the wife of the late Raymond C. DiRusso. Born in Newton and a lifelong resident of Newton Highlands, Mrs. DiRusso graduated from Newton High School. She worked for the City of Newton and at Newton North High School for Mr. Adams in Adams House. She has been retired for many years. Mrs. DiRusso was a lifelong parishioner and communicant at Sacred Heart Church in Newton Centre. Mrs. DiRusso is survived by her beloved son, Charles R. DiRusso of West Columbia, SC; and her daughter, Lorraine A. Mitchell of South Yarmouth. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday Nov. 30, 2007 in Sacred Heart Church, 1321 Centre St. Newton Centre. Interment will follow in Holyhood Cemetery, West Roxbury. My Godmother, My Aunt, My Friend, my heart is broken. I will miss you and your concerning phone calls about the loss of my Dad.
