McGILLYCUDDY, Kathleen M. Of East Dennis, formerly of Newton, June 5, 2024. Beloved wife of Ronald E. Logue. Step-mother of Amy Logue and her husband, Matthew Milowsky of Chapel Hill, NC and Emily Logue of Chatham, NY. Sister of Elizabeth Ferrara of Columbus, OH, Eugene McGillycuddy of Dennis and Daniel McGillycuddy of Airmont, NY. Kathleen grew up in Suffern, New York, attended parochial schools and graduated from Newton College of the Sacred Heart (later merged into Boston College). She later earned her M.B.A from Babson College and began her financial services career in the mid 70's at Bank of New England in the Treasury department. She went on to become among the first of a number of women to take senior roles in Boston banking for more than three decades. She also used her talents volunteering in the academic and medical fields. She was a Trustee of Boston College for many years and was appointed as the first woman Chair of the B.C. board of trustees. Kathleen took much satisfaction in her role as founder and Chair in 2002 of the Council for Women of Boston College (CWBC). The council is dedicated to furthering the role of women as leaders and active participants in the University. She has also served on a President's Advisory Committee of the Brigham and Women's hospital. Her best talent was spent acting as a role model and advisor for the step-children, nieces and nephews who benefited from her endless love and affection. Visiting Hours will be held at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St., (Rt.16), WELLESLEY, on Thursday, June 13, from 4:00-7:00pm. Her Funeral will be held from the funeral home, on Friday, June 14, at 8:30am, followed by a Funeral Mass, in St. Ignatius Church, Chestnut Hill, at 10:00am. Relatives and friends kindly invited.
