I met Kathleen in 2015 in Dennis. She hired me as a personal trainer for summer sessions which led to a nearly 10- year relationship which enriched my life beyond measure.
My heart ached when I read about her mentoring of her stepchildren and nieces and nephews. I understand the immense value of her mentoring because I experienced her warm, intelligent, gracious guidance too. She never dictated advice. Rather, it was the example she set in living her life. She stood for excellence in everything she undertook.
My wife and I were also recipients of she and Ron´s incredible vegetables. I loved getting those texts that a delivery was imminent! I looked forward to our "driveway chats" when she told me about the "crops."
In my shock and grief this week, I´ve been thinking of her vegetable garden as a metaphor of her life. She approached planting it with intention, care, intelligence, perseverance, and joy. If a certain vegetable didn´t work out, she simply learned from it and moved on to another in the same intentional way. The results were the finest vegetables they could be.
She was among the finest people I´ve ever known and I´ll miss my friend very much.

Kathleen will be remembered by so many as a smart, accomplished who carried herself with kindness and dignity. During her time as a Senior officer in the Treadury Department at BankBoston we confidently relied on her advice and incessant professionalism. Our thoughts are with Ron and the rest of her family. With immense respect for Kathleen. Chad gifford
