KENNETH DEPPERMAN Obituary

DEPPERMAN, Kenneth Roy Retired Captain USCG, died January 5, 2022 in Hingham, MA. Ken was born in Plainfield, NJ, in 1934. He graduated from the USCG Academy in 1955. After a 30 year career he retired in Scituate, MA, where he enjoyed sailing, golfing, and was an active member of the First Trinitarian Congregational Church.

He is survived by his wife Mary who he met at the age of 16; his son David and daughter-in-law Kristi of Collierville, TN, his son Douglas of Long Beach, CA, and his daughter Ann of Scituate, MA. He also leaves behind two grandchildren Andrew and Sara of Collierville, TN. Ken was a patient, good natured man who could laugh at himself and was loved by his entire family.

A Burial will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. A memorial will be held later this year. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ken can be made to the Norwell Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice, 120 Longwater Drive, Norwell, MA 02061, who we thank for their assistance, or to the USCG Museum Fund at coastguardmuseum.org .
