Kenneth HART Obituary

HART, Kenneth R. Age 70, of North Reading MA, loving husband for 43 years to Sara (Wells) Hart, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 28th, at the Lahey Hospitalm, with his family at his side.

Ken was born on July 10, 1953, in Cambridge, MA, to Alfred L. Hart and Louise M. Smith. He grew up in Reading and graduated from Reading Memorial High School in the class of 1971, where he met his future wife. He attended Drew University in New Jersey and worked in construction for a few years.

He had a 29-year career with a local electronics company, at the time called Compugraphic, lastly known as Agfa. He was in the field service division, where later in his career he moved to the international division. That gave him the opportunity to travel throughout Europe, as well as going as far east as China and south to Argentina and Brazil.

For 53 years he loved spending time at the family cottage in Maine. He could never just sit around and relax. He was always building or repairing things there, and there were lots of projects to work on.

Although he'd grown vegetables, tomatoes, lettuce and cucumbers forever, in later years he became interested in various types of pollinator plants. He enjoyed watching hummingbirds and bees coming to his yard.

One project that combined his carpentry and gardening skills was the pergola he built in his back yard, it became covered in Concord grape vines and wisteria. It is the coolest place to sit on a hot summer day.

He leaves his wife, Sara; sons, Alexander of Andover and Jonathan and his wife Flora of Lynn. He also leaves a brother, William Hart and his wife Anne of North Reading, and their daughter, Olivia of Geneva, Switzerland; and a sister, Susan and her husband Michael Mullett, also of North Reading; and nephews; Jason, Craig, and Kevin Mullett and their

families.

He had a very positive outlook on life, which helped him fight cancer as long as he did. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

His family is most grateful for the wonderful compassionate care he received at Lahey Hospital.

At the request of the family, all Services are being privately held. Arrangements by the Cota Funeral Home, NORTH READING, www.cotafuneralhomes.com Cota Family Funeral Homes and Cremation Service
