Ken and Mrs. MacAfee and family,
We were away and actually heard the news on the radio.I was deeply saddened.I know your pain first hand and send my prayers and condolences. I so enjoyed running into your father such a kind and honorable man. Although I was only a very small part of our success at B.H.S. he didn't see it that way and always made me feel like a star. I am very sooy for your loss.

Diane
I was so saddened to hear of Ken's passing. It was not too long ago that my brother Frank visited with him and we chatted about the times we all had at "F.C. Phillips". Ken was a wonderful man. My Dad Harry Dawson would take us to the Lowell Giants games to watch them play. Frank and I both worked with Ken as you know and have great memories of our times together. Please express my condolences to your family.
Sincerely,

Chris Giannaros

Dearest Diane:

I remember back to the time when I first met Ken in 1976 and thought how handsome he was. I also thought that you both made the most wonder ful pair together...the "Duke and the Duchess". As a newlywed myself, I wanted in my own marriage, the same devotion and love that you both showed to each other.

Over the years my opinion about how handsome he was never changed but I count myself as being one of the very fortunate people who also saw the kindness and sense of humor that he had as well. I was also so very blessed to witness the wonderful union you both enjoyed as husband and wife. You were truly one as a couple. I never heard a harsh word spoken and you always ended your conversation with an "I love you." If all couples had the relationship that you had together, this world would surely be a better place. I feel honored to count you both as true friends. I will miss Ken and his wonderful booming laugh forever.

I love you both.

Nancy

Dear Diane & Family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Ken was not just a great man but he was an outstanding role model, we played for him because we both loved and respected him. I'm just glad I was able to see him at the football team's 40th reunion. May the peace of God that surpasses all understanding be with you.
Sincerely, Blase Iuliano

I played for Coach MacAfee as a member of the Lowell Giants football team. I had the honor of being selected captain of the defense by him. In later years, when passing through NH, we would visit with one another. The Coach was a fine guy, very fair, very honest and very forthright. His memory remains with me and I am sure with those who played with him and for him. We will miss Coach MacAfee.

To the MacAfee Family,

Deepest sympathy to you and your family. I first meet Ken Sr. back in the 1970's at Marciano Stadium while competing in the shot-put for Attleboro High.
I was going through the Enterprise obituaries for another friend who pasted recently and was shocked to see your dads there. May God help you all in this time of need. Our prayers are with you.
