Donald Benjamin MacAfee passed away on February 19, 2024, at Bear Creek Senior Living
in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Don is survived by his two children, his son Doug, with two
grandchildren Greg, with two great grandchildren Margaret and Molly, and Brad, with three great
grandchildren Mason, Abigail, and Sydney, and his daughter Lynne.
Don was born on August 27, 1932, in Brawley, California, was raised by his parents Mary and Lee McAfee,
with two sisters and three brothers, Cindy, Gladys, Lee, Bart, Roscoe all deceased.
After graduating high school, Don joined the Air Force, and served for 20 years. He met his
wife Mary (deceased May 4, 2019) who also in the Air Force in 1956 and was married for 62 years.
Don and Mary lived in many places; his favorite place was Guam. Don retired from the
Air Force in 1972 and stayed in Colorado Springs. He began a second career at Hewlett-Packard and retired again in 1997,
Don enjoyed his extended family and having family visits. He enjoyed gardening, his dogs, playing in a
pinochle group, and watching classic movies. He was the go-to-guy for "entertainment."

We held Don's celebration of life on his 90th birthday. It was a wonderful tribute and he enjoyed
seeing his family and friends.
