KEVIN F. HARE

HARE, Kevin F. Beloved father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend, passed away peacefully with family, on May 16, 2024, at the age of 81. Kevin was born in Cambridge, raised in Somerville and worked in the Boston area for Boston Gas Company. Kevin always had a kind word for others, but if you could handle it, he would "bust your chops!" He was a storyteller who loved to share his wisdom to all, and made numerous, long- lasting friendships while enjoying his interests of boating and antiquing. He nourished his friendships by making daily telephone calls and traveling up and down the East Coast. He was especially fond of visiting Plum Island. He will be deeply missed by his daughter, Colleen Colby and her husband, Steven Colby; his four grandchildren, Moorea Remsen and her husband, Gregory Remsen, Noah Colby, Chloe Colby and Sophie Colby; by his brother, Brendan Hare; his sister-in-law, Anne Hare; his niece, Elizabeth Hare Neckes, and her husband, Jon Neckes; his nephews, Brendan Hare, Daniel Hare and his wife, Lisa Hare; as well as his great-nephews, Charlie and Sam Neckes, Jonathan Hare; and his beloved Kathleen Wilke. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, July 14, 2024, at 11:00 AM, at Immaculate Conception Church in Newburyport, Massachusetts. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
