Kevin Metcalfe Obituary

On Thursday April 17th, 2003, after living a life full of intimate relationships and fun, rewarding experiences, Kevin Metcalfe, 42, of North Reading, Massachusetts, surrendered his body with dignity and passion. Kevin was surrounded by the love and devotion of his wife, Heather Holden, his children: Callan, Chandlar and Keaton, and the thoughts and prayers of his legion of friends. Mr. Metcalfe was born and raised in Sarnia, (Ontario, Canada) where he is survived by: his parents Barb and Bruce Metcalfe and his brother Al and his wife Lois and their children Amy, Julie and Scott. Kevin is also survived by his brother Randy, who resides in Toronto. Kevin would like to express his love and deep appreciation to his father in-law, Fred Holden, of London, (Ontario, Canada) and Kelly and Ray Giffen, his sister in-law and brother in-law, as well as his nephews: Ryan, Taylor and Jonah Giffen, all of Strathroy, (Ontario, Canada) for their unwavering love and support during his last journey. Kevin parlayed his passion for people into a very successful business career that culminated in his founding Metcalfe Industries, dba Intelligent Solutions. The following statement best describes both Kevins life and his career: To live your life in your own way, to reach for the goals you have set for yourself, to be the you that you want to be-that is success. Let success be measured by the happiness in your heart. A memorial celebration of Kevins life will be held Friday, April 25th 2003 at 4:30pm. at the Ipswich Country Club in Ipswich MA. In lieu of flowers, your generous donation to support ALS research at MGH can be made to The Angel Fund, 649 Main St. Wakefield, MA 01880 or at www.theangelfund.org

Heather and family,

It's been years since we've met, yet I have kept Kevin, yourself and the children in my prayers since Joe and Sue told me of Kevin's illness. May my prayers console you now and always. Love, Pat(nee Woods) and Brian Peters and family

Remember him with a smile today,

He was not one for tears,

Reflect instead on memories,

Of all the happy years.

Recall to mind the way he spoke,

And all the things he said,

His strengths,his stance,

The way he walked,

Remember these instead.

The good advice he gave us,

His eyes that shone with laughter,

So much of him will never die,

But live on ever after.

The special years will not return,

When we were all together.

But with the love within our hearts,

He will walk with us forever.

Heather, Callan,Chandlar, and Keaton-

Kevin was a wonderful man who my children and I remember with fond memories. Ashleigh and Justin remembered him daily in their morning prayer and intentions at school. They now pray for you, his family, that you will be able to remember all the happy and loving times you were blessed enough to have shared with him; and that you, his children, will through memories and stories from family and friends, realize what a wonderful man you father was and how many lives he touched! We are certain that Kevin is in a good place and in good hands and will be with you, in your hearts forever! We wish you all the best.

Sincerely- Tasha, Ashleigh,

Justin and Joshua Boisvert
