Heather and Family,
I worked with Kirk for a period of time in Milford, MA many years ago. I had a lot of fun working with him and knowing the love he had for his family. I was fortunate to see Kirk a few months ago. I just heard of this tragedy today and I'm beside myself. To Heather, the girls and all of his family, my deepest condolences. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Sorry and sad to hear the news of Kirks passing.We heli-skied together in whistler and had some epic days that I know were some of the best ski days he ever had and I was glad to capture some of those moments on film for him that he could enjoy on those hot summer days when he dreamed of skiing.My condolences to all his friends and family,I do smile though when I think of him and the good times we had.

It is with great sadness that I heard of Kirk's passing in Feb.Kirk was a longtime Heliski client with us in Whistler,Canada.I had the pleasure of guiding Kirk on Heliski outings in our local backcountry.Kirk touched me with his generosity,gregarious nature and unique tenacity with his approach to Heliskiing.On behalf of all the staff at Whistlerheliskiing and myself I pass on our sincerest condolences to Kirk's family.

Although I have not seen Kirk since our early 20's, I was stunned and saddned by this tragic news.
Please accept my deepest sympathy on the passing of your brother, nephew, and son.
I have many special memories of Kirk (and of all of you) in the 70's and 80's as we spent much of our Western Hills and Cranston West years together. They were sweet times of fun and innocence.

My deepest condolences to the O'Brien families. I was in Vermont this week, and only heard the news yesterday. I thought of Kirk earlier this week, unknowing of this tragedy, and "feeling" his presence as I enjoyed winter fun on the mountain. Kirk was a man of unique skill and style. When I learned of his death I thought of his love of God, his Catholic faith, and although saddened, felt that his faith would ensure his eternal rest.

Kern, Sack, Sacagawa, By whatever name he was known, Kirk always left a mark on all that knew him. He was an example of someone who understood the fragility of life and made sure to live every moment to its fullest while here on Earth. While his life was too short, he was rarely short-changed. Sacagawea, I still don 't know how you got that name. Ken and family, what a great loss. Although I haven't seen Kirk in many years I still recall his smile and good nature about him. We meet when we were just 8 years old playing football. I always tell of the days when Kirk and I played side by side and his father would pull his Lincoln up on the field and cheer him on. To Kirk's Family and Friends,
I was one of the many who was dismayed at this untimely death. I had only seen Kirk a handful of times over the last years and every time he would enter the house party I was at he would brighten it up larger than life. He lived life large, loving his family and friends more than anything. I'm sad to say that I will not be able to mourn with you at the services as my whole family including myself is sick with the flu but please know that we are praying for you. I guess this last snow storm is for Kirk's ascent-how fitting for him.

To Kirk’s family,
Many miles of ski trails were ridden together with Kirk during Ski Club trips in Western Hills and Cranston West. Every time was a happy time when Kirk was around to “enjoy the moments” on the Mountain. Kirk would make the bus rides to and from those mountains pass quickly with some great conversations and laughter for all to enjoy. Those are the memories I can cherish along with Kirk’s smile, as we mourn this tragedy together. My prayers and deepest sympathy are with you all.
