Of Orient Heights, East Boston, on December 3 after a brief illness at 81 years of age. A lifelong resident of East Boston. Beloved husband of 55 1/2 years to Phyllis (Horne) of East Boston. Devoted father of Phyllis Cohen B.P.S. and her husband Gerald Cohen of Randolph, Lawrence L. "Larry" Anthony Jr. and his wife Carol of Danvers, Kathleen Kelly and her husband Edward of Framingham, Robert E. Anthony B.P.D. and his wife Jacalyn of East Boston. Loving son of the late Edward J. and Mary Ellen (King) Anthony. Dear brother of Helen Hoffman, Winifred Caristo and the late Rita, Claire, Edward, William, Phyllis and Jacqueline. Cherished grandfather of Michael Anthony of Miami, FL, Lawrence L. Anthony III of Danvers, Laura Nichols of Framingham, Carrie Brangiforte and her husband Phil of East Boston, Tracy Fenner of Waltham. Also survived by 5 adored great grandchildren and many fond nieces and nephews. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 p.m. Leo was a veteran of W.W. II, Battery C, 241st C.A. (H.D.) "Tigers". U.S. Army Sergeant Major, retired Chairman of the Rating Board for the Veterans Administration, Boston, 37 years. Life member of the V.F.W. Beachmont Post 6712 where he was a Veterans Service Officer, member of the D.A.V. Leo was an avid dancer with his wife Phyllis at the V.F.W. Beachmont on Saturday nights.
