I just learned of Lisa's passing today. I first "met" Lisa online about 5 years ago. We have the common bond of a child with CF. We bonded and shared lots of prayers together about our children and their future. I never would have made it through those inital years after the CF diagnosis with out her support and friendship. I am so sad that we never had the chance to meet in person. I do know how much she loved her husband and all of her boys and how she proudly told all of us CF Moms about their football games and other things. She loved the Patriots and I love the Colts and we had a very friendly rivalry during football season! My thoughts and prayers are with all of her family. She will watch over all of you from heaven always!

I found out today that my dear friend Lisa passed away more than 2 months ago. I am devastated to say the least. She was my family, though we never met. I loved her family & she loved mine. Together, we went through a mother's nightmare...and we weathered it together. It wasn't easy, but to knew we had eachother & that made it bareable. We spent day after day talking through our pain, our doubts, our fears. Crying and laughing. It was like we had known eachother our entire lives. To know I won't be able to talk to her, to laugh with her, to cry with her, to make bets over Patriot/Colts games :)...I'm just heartbroken. I'm sorry I wasn't there Lisa. I'm sorry I overlooked the most important things because I was "busy". You were one of the BEST humans I'll ever know. A true friend...and a WONDERFUL mom!
My heart and prayers are with your family, your husband and those boys that were your LIFE. We always wished we lived closer to eachother...I wish that more than ever now.

I am still in shock over the news of Lisa's passing. Our lives crossed via the internet and I am a better person for having known her.
Rich, My heart goes out to you and the boys for her passing will be greatly felt for quite a while. She was the most dedicated Mom & wife I've ever known.
Remember,Rockwell Men, she is always with you. She's the gentle breeze that tossels your hair, the soft rain that kisses your cheek.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Lisa, but I can't even count how many online conversations I had with Lisa over the years, on different forums and private messages. Your wife was a very special person who always thought of you and the boys first and foremost.
Besides all the people that you know, there is a huge internet community that is devastated at the loss of Lisa because she was such an awesome person.
She had many more friends than you will ever know and we are all going to miss her very much.

For a long time it seemed to me that life was to begin-real life. But there ways always some obsticle in the way. Something to be gotten through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served, a debt to be paid. At last it dawned on me that these onsticles were my life.
This perspective has helped me to see there is no way to happiness. Happiness is the way.
So treasure every moment you have and remember that time waits for no one.
Live each day as it is your last. Love one another and be compassionate.
Lisa was a gracious soul, generous in more ways than I could ever list here, we could all learn from her, in fact I can only hope that we do.
Be strong, all Lisa's men. I love you all more than words can express, and remember.... Happiness is a journey.....not a destination.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
