LORRAINE MANN Obituary

MANN, Lorraine S. Of Burlington, passed away surrounded by her loving family, on April 23, 2022, at the age of 83. Born in Quincy to the late Merle and Selma (Eloma) Mann. Lorraine enjoyed cooking, passing down family favorite recipes, reading novels and newspapers, sipping coffee and teas, challenging crossword puzzles completed in pen, endless hours of ruling the tv remote selecting game shows, old westerns, turner classics, masterpiece theater and cartoons with her adoring grandkids, tending to her flower and vegetable gardens with her daughters. She loved nature and the thrill of mystery car rides with her sister and brother-in-law finding waterfalls, beaches, and other amazing secret picnic spots. When she needed peace and recharging her batteries, spending time at the beach was her special place. Lorraine was very patriotic and proud of her deep rooted ancestry overseas, American colonists and Finnish immigrant heritage. She had a quick wit, great sense of humor, and her shining trait was her kindness to every man, woman, child, and all creatures big and small. She would pile in her kids and their friends/classmates/teammates into her old Buick station wagon safely ferrying them around, stop to help turtles cross the road, or skip over mowing the wildflowers growing in her lawn. Lorraine was generous, selfless, and always put others first. She opened her heart and home to those in need. Anyone who met Lorraine, at age 5 or 15, 25 or 40 or 80 would all say the same comment, she was the sweetest, kindest, honest, most giving, and thoughtful person they had ever met. Those qualities carried throughout every situation and to every person she encountered in her life. She was a lovingly devoted champion of a mother, grandmother, and friend. Lorraine will be sorely missed by all who were blessed to have known her and when you see a Cardinal, think of Lorraine and her family. Loving mother of Christine Nemoda Nauck and her husband Jeremy of Morgan Hill, CA, Andria Nemoda and William Igo of Burlington, MA, and Monica Conlin and her husband Seamus of Attleboro, MA. Cherished grandmother of Anneliese, Arianna, Alexis, John-Paul, Joliena, Michael-David, Zackery-Benjamin, Evan-Christopher, Caleb, Beatrice, and the late Faith-Ena and Selma. Devoted cherished sister of Marie Abdullah and her husband Yasin of Willington, CT, Benjamin Mann and his wife Joyce of Myrtle Beach, SC, and the late Paul Mann and his wife Gloria of Clearwater, FL. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Graveside Service on Friday, April 29th, 12:00 PM in Central Cemetery, 327 North St., Randolph. Should friends desire, memorial contributions can be made in Lorraine's name to DAV - Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-030.
