I was a little girl of no more than 7. Fr. Grenier would faithfully pick up myself & my cousin Marie weekly and in the back of a quite old Jeep with no shocks, drive for what seemed like hours to multiple remote churches in the most rural parts of Jamaica for mass. We traveled over rocky river beds & the good stretches were dirt tracks. Through deep bush, massive tropical heat, rain & bugs. Our only sense was that this is normal...this is what we do every Sunday was Fr.Grenier's impression on us little girls as fledgling Christians.

He NEVER COMPLAINED. Was NEVER judgemental. Everyone I remember was so happy to see him and he was truly welcoming to all. I haven't seen him for many decades...indeed I'm a grandmother now but I'm writing this, crying like a baby. I know he's someone who heaven has a special place for but knowing him, he'll sit in the background and wonder why the fuss. An EXTRAORDINARY MAN, PRIEST!!!!

Father Grenier was a great friend of my mother. Throughout her life they corresponded on a regular basis. He was very kind to her when she was a young girl growing up in st. Catherine, Jamaica.

What a great friend of jamaica. His memory will live on in the hearts of Jamaica and all the people who's life he has influenced.
