MARILYN ZAFRAN Obituary

ZAFRAN, Marilyn Adasha (Doxer) Age 94, of Needham passed away peacefully on November 27, at the Briarwood Rehabilitation Healthcare Center. She was born to the late Morris and Sally Doxer. She was the loving wife of the late Lewis Zafran, with whom she shared fifty-two years of marriage. Prior to settling in Needham to raise her two sons, she was a graduate of the Jeremiah Burke High School and Salem State College before ensuing a career in business education at LaSalle College. She is survived by her devoted son Stanley; her daughters-in-law Lisa and Merrill; her cherished grandchildren Matthew Zafran, Jeremy (Anna) Zafran, Ross (Diane) Goldberg and Corrie (TJ) Koziol. Marilyn was most proud of her great-grandchildren Simon, Chloe and Brooks. She was predeceased by her beloved son Richard; her companion Elbert Taitz; and her brother Norman Doxer. Marilyn enjoyed a long life and her greatest joys were her family, with bingo being a close second. Her warmth, wit, intelligence and laughter will be sadly missed. There will be a Graveside Service, at the Baker Street Cemetery (Custom Tailor's section), W. Roxbury, on Thursday, December 1, at 11:00 AM. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org or a charity of one's choice. We will all miss Marilyn very much. Levine Chapels, Brookline 617-277-8300 www.levinechapel.com
