Aunt Mary taught me through her example what a truly loving family is all about:
acceptance, patience, flexibility, laughter, sacrifice and some discipline
all her virtuous attributes were a recipe for creating an environment where one couldn't help but experience love. Her love lives on on her family and friends.

Hi Amy,
I just wanted to take a minute to say how sorry I was to hear of the loss of your mom Mary. She was a very sweet woman who I got to know a bit when your dad was sick. I worked in the school system with Mary and interacted with her a lot as the Fire prevention Officer for Wakefield Fire. Your mom was just a pleasure to know. She lived a good life and obviously loved your family very much. Take care. Chief Michael Sullivan Wakefield fire department. WHS class of 81.

Artie, Dennis, Amy & Bill,
My heart is breaking for your loss. I loved your mom dearly. I remember her laugh and it makes me smile. 18 Hanson Street was every kid in the neighborhood's 2nd home. She never complained about the crazy things we would do like the noise from our 100th round of HORSE basketball, never ending summer kick the can games, or even when when Amy & I painted the treehouse pink. Such fond memories of her and that house. So happy you were able to surround her with your love in the place that was most special to her. Sending healing hugs to all.

To the Dumont Family
It is hard to put into words the memories we had growing up on Grove St that my Brothers and I had with your Family and your folks. The relationship our Parents had especially our Mothers was special. She was a special person and will be missed.

DENNIS (and family) - Please accept my condolences on the passing of your mom this week. My mom had Alzheimer's too; I pray your mom's passing was swift, painless, and peaceful.
It also sounds like she had a wonderful life! That's awesome that she was able to live in the same house for 80+ years. WOW - so few can say that...
The beautiful obituary, an attractive woman, very accomplished, you must be so proud...
Still, even when we know the ending it near, it still hurts to our core.
Sending virtual hugs.
Cheers!

I am so sorry for your loss. Your mother was a wonderful woman with a wonderful life story. I have fond memories as a kid of spending time at 18 Hanson Street with Arthur and Dennis. Mrs. and Mr. Dumont were as always so kind and patient with the many kids who spent time hanging out in the yard. I have had the good fortune of reconnecting with Arthur in adulthood and I know your mom will be missed. Condolences to the family.

Bill, Amy, Arthur, Dennis and families,
I am so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. 18 Hanson Street will never be the same. I loved your Mom very much. I have many years of happy memories from lining up at the fence for first day of school pictures, to her chasing Friskie around, to fun up at Hampton, and all of the times together, dinners and teas she spent with my Mom. She was always such a kind, loving, and giving person, and she always would make me laugh. She took extraordinary care of your Dad, and I always admired her with that.
She was such a great Mom, friend, and neighbor. It will be hard to not see her sitting out on the porch waving hello. I hope all of the wonderful memories you have shared will give you comfort during this time and always. Sending you all love and prayers.

I had the great pleasure of working with Mary at the Montrose Elementary School. Mary was a gracious, thoughtful, caring person and teacher. She was totally committed to her students and to helping them in any way she could. She always conveyed a positive, upbeat outlook and brought joy to so many.
To her proud family, I send deep condolences. She will be missed.

Wishing you all the comfort of your many happy memories. From our first meeting planning a shower with Aunt Joan, to our last car trip together, when she no longer drove, Mary was warm and easy going, quick to laugh, and was always interested in what the kids were up to. She showed us what loyalty and dedication looked like.
Fran & I are thinking of you.

To Mary's children and grandchildren,
My heart goes out to you on the loss of your mother/grandmother. She loved all of you and always spoke so highly of you. It was always so exciting to hear Mary tell about a new grandchild, a birthday, a graduation or any other life celebration.
Mary and I were first grade teachers at Montrose and Dolbeare. Her sense of humor always kept me laughing. She was always very helpful to me. We remained friends throughout the years. I will miss her dearly.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
