I noticed a sign on the beautiful Daunt homestead and now I know its meaning. Your mother or grandmother had a long and glorious life. No regrets. Nothing undone. There's a line from Kipling that I've always hung onto that I think says it best: She can bring no more to living than the powers that make her great. She truly was a great figure in my early life, took more than her share of kindly interest in helping me and my memories are forever warmed in gratitude.

I am so sorry for your loss but also happy you had so much time with her. She was a dear friend of my mother and a member of what they all called "the club". I remember hearing all the laughter when they got together especially the Christmas one with the gifts. Lots of laughs. Wishing your family peace and love as you grieve your loss. Fondly, Faith Costello MacPhee (daughter of Betty Barry Costello)

Prayers and wonderful thoughts of a wonderful lady, she was truly an Angel From Heaven. Mary was always so welcoming and a pleasure to visit. She will be dearly missed but I am so sure she is in heaven making her special apple pie. Love u Gram, Harry and Pat Aaron

To the McTernan family: how fortunate we were to grow up on Gay Street in Norwood, and benefit from having the guidance of Mary as our cub scout den mother, and Bud as our Little League coach. Fine people and great role models. Thanks to God for Mary's long life and her impact not only on her large family but all the rest of us who came in contact with her. I hope that the thoughts and prayers of your friends will be of comfort to you.
