MARY JAMIESON TALBOT

1924 - 2022

TALBOT, Mary Jamieson Age 98, of Wellesley and Falmouth, passed away peacefully at home on July 17, 2022. She was born on February 1, 1924, in Paisley, Scotland to Elizabeth and James Jamieson. Mary immigrated to the United States as a young adult after spending much of her childhood in Manchester, England. Not long after her arrival in Massachusetts, she and her family settled in Melrose. She married the late Harold 'Lid' Dean Talbot, Jr. in 1947, and they had three daughters, Nancy Talbot (Carl) Moulton, Elizabeth 'Betty' Jane (David 'Jack') Cheney, and Jill Evans Talbot. "Jamie," as she was known to many, enjoyed traveling with Lid and spending time close to the ocean in Falmouth, where her family would often gather in the summer. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her daughter, Jill; as well as grandsons, Benjamin E. Moulton and Timothy L. (Emily) Moulton; and granddaughters, Amy C. (Jared) Spirito and Whitney C. (Stephen) Wynne; as well as eight great-grandchildren. A small service will be held on Saturday, July 23, at 11:00 at Oak Grove Cemetery in Falmouth. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Care Dimensions Hospice from Waltham, MA.
