MAUREEN CONNOLLY Obituary
(O'Connell) Of South Boston, November 5, 2014. Devoted mother of Michael J. Connolly and Matthew R. Connolly both of South Boston. Former wife and loving friend of Michael M. Connolly of Hingham. Loving daughter of the late James F. and Marie (Delaney) O'Connell. Dear sister of Jimmy O'Connell, his wife Debbie of Marshfield, Linda Lynch, her late husband Moss, Sean O'Connell, his wife Patty, Sheila Miller, her late husband Bill, Patty O'Loughlin, her husband Fran, Erin O'Connell, all of South Boston, the late Marie & Arnold Bailey. Loving friend of Maryellen Mackin. Maureen was also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, relatives and friends. Visiting hours in the O'Brien Funeral Home, 146 Dorchester Street South Boston, Friday from 4-8PM. Funeral Mass on Saturday in St. Brigid Church, 841 East Broadway South Boston, at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend both services. Interment will be private.

Michael and Matt I am so sorry for your loss. Your mother was one of the first people I met when I started at Gillette in 1972. I remember her including me right away in the circle of other Admins. We shared many laughs and life adventures. You may even remember her coming to get a hamster for you from a litter we unexpectedly had! She ranks among the nicest people I've ever had the privilege of knowing. My deepest sympathies and may she rest in peace.
